Open Access Statement
Journal of Petrochemical Universities flipped to a fully open-access journal under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license in 2022. All articles published in the journal since 2022 are open-access, available to readers on the journal’s website free of charge immediately and permanently upon publication. Readers may copy, distribute, and use these articles in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
Articles published after 2007 are also open-access, available to readers free of charge permanently on the journal’s website. Readers may copy, distribute, and use these articles in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
Articles published in the journal between 1988 and 2006 are not open-access, and their copyrights are held by the editorial department of the journal. Readers can read the full-text articles on CNKI.
Licensing Policy
For open-access articles published in the journal (i.e., those published since 2007), permissible third-party reuse is defined by the following license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows users to copy and distribute the articles in any medium or format as long as the license terms below are followed:
Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes to the articles were made. Users may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use. Users may not use the articles for commercial purposes. If users re-mix, transform, or build upon the articles, they may not distribute the modified articles. The full details of the license are available at:

Copyright Policy
All authors are required to sign the "Copyright Transfer Agreement" to transfer the copyright of their article to the editorial department of Journal of Liaoning Petrochemical University. After the article is published, authors have the right to use their published articles under the following circumstances:
1) Authors may quote (or translate) parts of their article in his/her subsequent works;
2) Authors may deposit an electronic version of the paper on their personal or institutional webpage, provided that the source is acknowledged;
3) Authors use their articles under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
If the article is not published by the journal in the end, the "Copyright Transfer Agreement" signed by the authors will automatically become invalid. Authors will still own the copyright.
Article Archiving Policy
All articles from 2007 onwards have been digitally archived and are searchable and downloadable on the journal website. To ensure data security, all information is also backed up in the editorial department. In the event of suspension of publication, readers can access history articles from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, etc. The full text of articles published before 2007 can be accessed on CNKI and Wanfang Data.
Authors' Self-Archiving
The journal allows authors to store all versions of their articles in an institutional or other knowledge repository of the authors' choice, subject to the specification of journal publication information in the article metadata of the stored institutional or other knowledge repository, and as a recommended citation.
Data Sharing
Authors are encouraged to share research data under appropriate circumstances. Generally, shareable data encompasses raw data, observation records, experimental results, and so forth. Additionally, the journal emphasizes the importance of authors sharing related research software, code, models, algorithms, protocols, methods, and other valuable materials. Authors are encouraged upload such materials to accessible third-party storage platforms and provide corresponding links at the end of their articles.
Post-publication Discussions
We warmly welcome authors and readers to participate in discussions on our published articles. Comments can be sent to the journal's email. The editorial department will handle them promptly and provide feedback as necessary. Furthermore, the journal actively encourages readers and authors to engage in mutual supervision and offer feedback on pertinent information, aiming to cultivate a vibrant and positive academic environment.
