Abstract: The traditional sense of the flame size detection methods had the high detection error rate and easily influenced by sunlight conditions, and the flame region segmentation of images with complicated background still existed suspecting flame area. In order to improve the existing test methods， a method to detect the flame size puted forward in this paper ,based on RGB and HIS color space. This method combined two kinds of color space of flame characteristics, defining a new flame judgment constraint condition, and via the ratio between RGB color component values to eliminate light effects. By testing the images about different background, the results proved that the proposed method could effectively measure the flame size.

摘要：  现有的火焰尺寸检测方法具有误检率高、 易受日照条件影响以及对具有复杂背景的火焰区域分割保留疑似火焰区域的缺点。为了改进现有的检测方法, 提出了一种基于RG B颜色空间与 H I S颜色空间模式相结合的火焰尺寸检测方法, 将两种颜色空间火焰特征结合, 定义新的火焰判断约束条件, 并根据 RG B颜色分量值之间的比值来消除光照影响。对不同背景下火焰图像进行检测的结果表明, 所提出的检测方法可以有效测量火焰尺寸。
