Abstract: In the titanium alloy cutting operations with carbide tools, tool wear is one of the main restrictive factors on its tool life, and the cutting temperature significantly affects the tool wear, and closely related to work piece surface integrity and machining precision. Therefore, the analysis of temperature changes of cutting temperature and the tool wear are helpful to increase the productivity and lower down the costs of production. In this paper, the finite element software Deform3D was used to make simulation analysis on cutting temperature field and tool wear during the process of titanium alloy cutting operations with carbide tools. Accoordingly, the influence of the cutting speed, feed and cutting depth, and the dynamic changes of the rake angle of the tool on cutting temperature was achieved, and the change law of tool wear condition with cutting temperature. The findings of this research are helpful to optimize the cutting parameters and research the mechanism of tool wear.

摘要: 在硬质合金刀具切削加工钛合金过程中, 刀具磨损是限制刀具寿命的主要因素之一, 而切削温度与刀具磨损、 加工精度和工件加工表面的完整性密切相关。因此, 研究切削过程中的切削温度变化规律及刀具磨损规律有助于提高生产率, 降低生产成本。借助D e f o r m - 3 D有限元软件, 对硬质合金刀具切削钛合金过程中的切削温度场及刀具磨损进行了仿真分析, 得出了切削速度、 进给量、 切削深度和刀具前角的动态变化对切削温度的影响规律以及刀具磨损量随切削温度的变化规律, 此规律对切削参数的选择和刀具寿命及磨损的研究具有重要的指导作用。
