Simulation and Optimization of Absorption Stability System in Light Hydrocarbon Aromatization Unit

In this paper, PROII was applied in a light hydrocarbon aromatization reaction product system to simulate the influence of recovery rate of light hydrocarbon in absorption tower, recycling process of dry gas, desorption column feed position and thereflux ratio of stabilizer on the absorption stability system. According to the simulation data, the process energy consumption of the entire system is low when the absorber light hydrocarbon recovery rate is about 97%. After condensing recovery of absorber overhead dry gas, more aromatics can be recovered and better economic benefits can be produced. The detailed condensate solution and proper condensing medium were depend on the plant supporting utility conditions. When the cold and hot streams double feeding mode with the minimum load was applied on the desorption column, one from the top of the tower and the other from the upper middle part. It is more reasonable when the stabilizer reflux ratio is about 3.0.
