新型疏水改性阳离子聚丙烯酰胺的制备及表征

Preparation and Characterization of a Novel Hydrophobic Modified Cationic Polyacrylamide

摘要: 以丙烯酰胺(AM)为主单体、丙烯酰氧乙基三甲基氯化铵(DAC)为阳离子单体、烷基糖苷(APG)为疏水单体,经低压紫外光引发共聚,成功合成了新型疏水改性阳离子聚丙烯酰胺絮凝剂P(AM⁃DAC⁃APG)。利用FTIR、SEM以及1H⁃NMR观察并分析其化学结构、表面形貌。研究了总单体质量分数、引发剂质量分数等因素对聚合反应的影响,确定了最佳合成条件为总单体质量分数35.0%、引发剂质量分数0.2%、光照时间90 min、m(AM)/m(DAC)=3、疏水单体质量分数2.0%、尿素质量分数3.0%。在此条件下得到特性黏度和阳离子电荷密度分别为1 384.8 mL/g和5.091 mmol/g的新型疏水改性聚丙烯酰胺絮凝剂。

Abstract: In this paper, a novel hydrophobic modified cationic polyacrylamide flocculant P(AM⁃DAC⁃APG) was successfully synthesized by copolymerization of acrylamide (AM) as the main monomer, acryloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DAC) as the cationic monomer and alkyl glycoside (APG) as the hydrophobic monomer, initiated by low⁃pressure ultraviolet light. FTIR, SEM and 1H⁃NMR were used to observe and analyze its chemical structure and surface morphology. The effects of other factors such as total monomer concentration and initiator concentration on the polymerization were studied. Optimum polymerization conditions were confirmed as total monomer concentration of 35.0%, initiator concentration of 0.2%, illumination time of 90 min, m(AM)/m(DAC)of 3, hydrophobic monomer concentration of 2.0%, urea concentration of 3.0%. The novel hydrophobic modified polyacrylamide flocculant with intrinsic viscosity and cationic charge density of 1 384.8 mL/g and 5.091 mmol/g was obtained under these conditions.
